Corey Kent Says A Few ‘Surprise Collaborations’ Are Coming Our Way

Corey Kent may be focusing less on writing for others, but that doesn’t mean the country singer isn’t working with others on a few team-ups. In addition to preparing new releases, the star recently partnered with Bud Light for the summer season. 

As part of his team-up, Kent and several country hitmakers will perform for fans 21 and older in age at Billboard presents Bud Light Backyard, a two-day concert event at Tin Roof Nashville set amid CMA Fest. While Kent, Alana Springsteen and Dalton Dover will kick things off June 7, Dasha, George Birge and LOCASH will continue festivities on June 8.

While this will mark Kent’s first appearance at Tin Roof Broadway, he explained that he has nothing but appreciation for the community aspect of the event. “My favorite part of performing at a collaborative country music event is the sense of camaraderie and unity it brings to the country music community,” he explained. “It’s inspiring to see brands come together to support and celebrate the music we all love.”

Kent is also prepping for the release of new music, confessing that the offerings may arrive with a few friendly faces. “While I’m no longer writing as much for others, I’m pouring my heart and soul into writing for myself nowadays. My current songs reflect my personal experiences, struggles, and triumphs,” he revealed. “[Fans] can keep an eye out for announcements about new music releases, tour dates, and maybe even a few surprise collaborations along the way.”
