Hot 100 First-Timers: Loe Shimmy Debuts With Breakthrough Brent Faiyaz Collab ‘For Me’

Loe Shimmy is officially a Billboard Hot 100-charting artist, as his single “For Me,” with Brent Faiyaz, debuts on the Nov. 23-dated list, becoming the former’s first career entry.

Released in March on Loe Shimmy’s album Zombieland 2 (without Faiyaz), the song starts at No. 78 with 6.3 million official U.S. streams (up 138%) and 1.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 2%) in the Nov. 8-14 tracking week, according to Luminate.

The streaming bump can partly be attributed to a new remix of the track with Faiyaz, released Nov. 7 (per chart rules, all versions of the song are combined on Billboard‘s charts).

The song has also benefited from growing attention on TikTok, where it has soundtracked more than 163,000 clips. The new version with Faiyaz has already been used in over 5,000 TikToks.

Loe Shimmy is new to Billboard’s charts this year. Zombieland 2 (released on Loe Shimmy/NETL/Open Shift) became his first overall entry in April when it debuted at No. 13 on Heatseekers Albums (which ranks the most popular albums each week by new or developing acts). Two weeks ago, he earned his second chart appearance when “For Me” (the version without Faiyaz) debuted on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay at No. 39, marking his first radio chart hit. The song reaches a new No. 37 high on the latest list. It also debuts at No. 15 on Hot Rap Songs and No. 20 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Like some other emerging rappers, Loe Shimmy hails from Pompano Beach, Fla. Along with Zombieland 2, he has released the set’s deluxe version, Zombieland 2.6, in 2024, along with his projects The Z Files in October and Nardy World on Nov. 8. Loe Shimmy has previously collaborated with fellow Pompano Beach native Kodak Black on the tracks “Get Away” and “Bounty.” He has also released music with fellow Florida rappers Luh Tyler and BossMan Dlow, as well as rising artists Veeze, Cash Cobain and BLP Kosher.
